The twist, zoom, rotate strategy is one usually used to photograph light streaks, but I decided it would be cool for fire.
What you do is set a longer exposure (1/2 to 1/20 of a second) and, while the shutter is open (during the photo) you twist the camera, zoom in, and change the focus (I don't think I changed any focus for this shot). Not too difficult and you can get some really cool photos
